This term, we have worked incredibly hard on our persuasive writing unit in English. We have written marvellous texts about Seafield House in Westward Ho! and have made excellent progress in our use of: imperative verbs, hyperbole, the rule of three, emotive language and multi-clause sentences.
As we are now coming to the end of this unit of work, I would like you to show off your persuasive skills by writing a new text for your homework.
The topic is: What is the best pet?
Can you convince the dog-loving Mrs Da Silva that cats are superior? Can you persuade Miss K that she needs to have a pet bearded dragon as a new house guest? We can't wait to hear all about the best pets.
